Product Review! Soap and Glory's Bright and Bubbly Gift Set

♥Soap and Glory: Bright and Bubbly - Original Pink - Gift Set♥

What? An attractive pink, red and silver striped box containing mini versions of Hand Food (hand cream), Scrub Of Your Life (body buffer), Clean On Me (shower gel), Righteous Butter (body moisturiser) and a pink shower puff.

How much? £10.00 (can find it on offer 3 for 2)

Where from? Can purchase from www.boots.com. I got it as a Christmas present from my brother.

Opinion? I was really excited to receive this as a present, since my brother had no idea I loved S&G (although it was pretty likely), and it contained my favourite products. The scents (called Original Pink) are just sooo gorgeous! First, the shower gel is very creamy and lathers up well, especially when using the puff. It also moisturisers your skin if you can't be bothered using a body butter after your shower (like me most times). The scrub smells very similar and is great for smoothing up knees/elbows/underarms before tanning or just to feel soft. I like to use it on my chest area and practically scrub off my skin - it looks so smooth and glossy after - although it can be a bit rough if you prefer more gentle body buffers. The body butter and hand cream (pretty similar, except packaging) are very nice indeed. Smells great of course, gets you lots of compliments, absorbs quite quickly and keeps skin happy for a fair while. The travel size of all these products makes them handy for taking out and about. The shower puff is well... pink. Pretty :)

Pros? Smells lovely+pretty packaging+smells beautiful+very moisturising+smells wonderful+good for travels

Cons? Can be a bit expensive if not bought on offer-contains lots of chemicals

Final thoughts? I probably don't need to go on and on about the smell. If you haven't tried these products yet then I would highly recommend that you do, since the majority love the Original Pink scent. Although it may be difficult to get your hands on this gift set after Christmas, or if you live in countries other than UK. All in all though, very happy with my present from my big brother - my favourite S&G products in a cute box - good choice!

Product Review! Radox Spa Soothe

My first product review on this blog!

To be honest this isn't the most exciting product to review. However I had to start somewhere, so I'm reviewing the latest bubble bath I've used...

♥ Radox Spa Soothe Bath Soak ♥

What? A bubble bath with neroli oil fig and milk

How much? £2.29 for 500ml

Where from? I bought it from Boots using my points - a gift from Boots I suppose!

Opinion?

Well, I've used this three times now in my bath and I do really like it. The first couple of times I didn't pour in very much while the tap was running, though it still gave a nice blanket of bubbles. The third time however, I poured in quite a lot without realising (maybe 1/8 of the bottle!) and I got lots and lots of bubbles that stayed for my entire bath. So the bubble factor is quite good, compared to some which just disappear after a few minutes.

The scent is lovely - quite fruity, feminine and relaxing - and did linger on my skin for a little time but not overpowering.

The packaging claims the bath soak will moisturise your skin which I would say is true. I didn't use any other moisturiser after the bath, and my skin didn't feel dry, so I guess it did. (plus, my bath was very hot!)

Pros? Cheap+lovely smell+makes lots of bubbles

Cons? Contains some ugly chemicals-no BUAV approval

Final thoughts? I would be happy to repurchase. I love having hot baths in the winter so am getting through a fair amount of bubble bath. My current favourite is still S&G - Calm One Calm All. However that one costs £6.00 for the same amount, so if I can't buy it on offer, I would most likely reach for this one again. I might also try the others in the range - Condition Bath Soak and Rejuvinate Bath Soak - they probably smell wonderful too!

So finally, enjoy a picture of my bath. I was just experimenting really... the lens was too long, and the lighting was poor... but never mind, hopefully you can still see the mountains of bubbles,

Brief First Post

Hello!

Thank you for coming to visit my blog - Chariot Rose.

It is a brand new blog, having only been created this afternoon, and I spent the next couple of hours trying to create a pretty banner... which unfortunately was not time well spent. However, despite the cheesy banner, I still intend to fill this blog with lots of tips, tricks, reviews and general chat about all things beauty related. I love to experiment to find easy, cheap and quick ways to look presentable! I'm not one for pilling on the makeup, it just doesn't suit my complexion, so future posts will be focused on a more natural approach to enhancing appearance.

I hope others will enjoy reading my blog and I promise to post soon - I have lots to write about!
